Famous background

This is interesting. Famous background from Windows Xp is actually picture of regular hill in California. Here are pictures from 1996 and 2006.

Shape is the same, but everything else has changed. Photographer of this beautiful shot is Charles O'Rear.

Books Ngram Viewer

This is sad:

Graph shows how often was word "Love" used in literature since year 1500.
Second graph shows how often was word "sex" used in same time period.

Something went terribly wrong here...

Right here:

In this very spot:

Any idea why 1911 ?

Ninite for Linux

If you read http://vlkouse.blogspot.com/2010/12/ninite.html you might probably ask if it is only for Windows (its for both 64bit and 32bit) or if its there for linux too.
Yes, it is (beta):
https://ninite.com/linux/

It offers:
Chrome, Thunderbird, Pidgin, Skype
Transmission(bittorent), Flash
OpenOffice
GIMP, Inkscape, Picasa
VLC, Banshe, Restricted Extras(codecs)
Dropbox, Gnome-Do
Adobe Air, Wine

Thats good, but I do not see the point since we have something like Ubuntu Software Center...

Fantastic Mr. Fox

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432283/

I saw this movie yesterday and I must say it rocks! Awesome animation, dabings fits so good (just love G.Clooney as Mr.Fox) and story is smooth and 87 minutes are too short. All characters are unique and every animal or man have their own style. I am not into hand-made animated movies, but I wont miss Fantastic Mr.Fox 2 (if there will be any).

The Scribes: Sit on my Facebook

Song about love. Song with lyrics created from dozen of different brands: eg. "so i can make you scream Yahoo!". Song with...just play it already ;-)

Ninite

Tired of reinstalling system all day long? Downloading or searching for CDs and DVDs from magazines? Sick of watching progress bars? Well, me to. And because of that I was googling and found this:
http://ninite.com/

What is so special about this page? Well, I am going to reinstall my system soon (during Christmas holiday) and I do not want to just sit and wait until each program finish its installation. Than click on another setup.exe and over and over again.

This wont happened here. Just tick programs you would like to get and then download small exe file. This is only setup you will see. It downloads all programs you wanted without any extra clicks. Very simple. There is something like premium account, but I do not think it could be useful for any ordinary user. But I can imagine IT specialist who needs to install same programs on 30 PCs without internet connection. Ninite Pro as they call it also provides silent installation which means no human interaction required.

Right now, you can install this programs:
Chrome, Safari, Opera, Firefox
Skype, Messenger(MS), Pidgin, Digsby, Google Talk, Thunderbird, AIM, Yahoo!
iTunes, Songbird, Hulu, VLC, KMplayer, AIMP, foobar2000, Winamp, Audacity
K-Lite Codecs, GOM player, Spotify, Mediamonkey
Paint.NET, Picasa, GIMP, IrfranView, XnView, Inkscape, FastStone
Office 2007 trial(MS), Openoffice, Adobe Reader, SumatraPDF, Foxit Reader, CutePDF
Essentials (MS), Avast, AVG, Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, Spybot, Super
Flash, Flash(IE), Java, .NET, Silverlight, Air
uTorrent, eMule
Dropbox, Evernote, Google Earth, Steam, KeePass, Everything, Mozy
TeamViewer, ImgBurn, CCleaner, Aulogics, Defraggler, RealVNC
TeraCopy, CDBurnerXP, Recuva, TrueCrypt, Revo, Launchy
7-Zip, WinRAR
Python, FileZilla, Notepad++, JDK, WinSCP, PuTTY, Eclipse

I Remember when ninite had half of these programs. They will add more, I guess.
